That city is Zaatari.
PositionFor more than a decade, Jordan has opened its doors to refugees from Syria. The delegation of Jordan believes that protecting refugees is a shared global responsibility, not a burden for neighbouring countries alone.Há mais de uma década, a Jordânia abre suas portas aos refugiados da Síria.

Speaking tips

Look at the delegates, not at your paper, and use short notes instead of a full text. Speak slowly and pause after important numbers. Practise at home with a timer at least three times.

Negotiating in a caucus

In the caucuses, delegates look for allies and build a compromise. Compare “Your plan will fail” with We are not convinced that this plan can be funded.O inglês diplomático é cheio de palavras que suavizam a crítica: with all due respect (com todo o respeito), respectfully (respeitosamente), some concerns (algumas preocupações), we are not convinced that (não estamos convencidos de que), it might be better to (talvez fosse melhor).
